Welcome to Security Lance, an online marketplace where security service providers and product sellers connect with customers. By accessing or using our website, applications, or services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please stop using the Platform immediately.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, browsing the Platform, or completing a transaction, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional guidelines posted on the Platform. These Terms apply to all users, including service providers, product sellers, and Buyers.
2. Definitions
“Buyer” means any user who purchases or attempts to purchase security services or security-related products through the Platform.
“Service Provider” means any individual or business offering security services.
“Seller” means any individual or business offering security-related products.
“User” includes Buyers, Service Providers, Sellers, and any person accessing the Platform.
“Platform” refers to the Security Lance website, systems, and tools.
Security Lance LLC functions solely as a marketplace facilitator and does not provide security services or products directly.
3. Platform Purpose
Security Lance provides tools for Buyers to:
Browse, compare, and purchase security-related services and products.
And for Service Providers/Sellers to:
List, promote, and sell their offerings.
Security Lance does not employ, manage, supervise, or guarantee the performance of any Service Provider or Seller.
4. User Accounts
4.1 Eligibility
To use the Platform, you must:
Be at least 18 years old.
Provide accurate and complete registration information.
Have the authority to enter into contracts if acting on behalf of a business.
4.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
All activity occurring under your account.
Please notify us immediately of unauthorized access.
5. Listings and Marketplace Activity
5.1 Responsibilities of Service Providers & Sellers
Providers and Sellers are solely responsible for:
The accuracy of their listings and pricing.
Their own policies (cancellation, refund, service conditions, etc.).
Maintaining all required Michigan or other jurisdictional licenses and registrations.
Ensuring the legality, quality, and safety of the products or services they deliver.
5.2 Responsibilities of Buyers
Buyers are responsible for:
Reviewing all listing details, policies, and pricing before purchasing.
Ensuring the selected services or products meet their needs and legal requirements.
Complying with applicable regulations when using purchased security services or products.
5.3 No Endorsement
Security Lance does not:
Endorse any particular Service Provider or Seller.
Guarantee the accuracy of listings.
Validate credentials, unless specifically stated.
Control service delivery, product quality, or Buyer–Provider interactions.
All transactions occur directly between Buyers and Providers/Sellers.
6. Payments & Fees
Payments may be processed through third-party payment processors. By submitting a payment, you also agree to the terms of that processor.
Security Lance may charge platform fees, commissions, or listing fees.
Unless stated otherwise in a Provider’s or Seller’s policies, all payments are final.
7. Cancellation, Refunds, & Provider Policies
Each Service Provider or Seller defines their own:
Cancellation policy
Refund policy
Service delivery policy
Product warranty terms
Buyers must review these policies before completing any purchase.
Security Lance may assist with disputes at its discretion but is not obligated to enforce third-party policies.
8. User Conduct
Users agree not to:
Provide false or misleading information.
Post unlawful, harmful, or inappropriate content.
Circumvent platform fees or transact off-platform for bookings initiated on the Platform.
Interfere with platform operations or security.
Security Lance may suspend or terminate accounts for violations.
9. Intellectual Property
Security Lance LLC owns all Platform content and branding. Users may not copy, distribute, or modify any Platform content without written permission.
10. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to external websites. Security Lance is not responsible for external content, services, or privacy practices.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.”
Security Lance makes no warranties regarding:
The accuracy of listings
The quality or reliability of service Providers or Sellers
The uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform
Buyers engage Providers and Sellers at their own risk.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Security Lance LLC is not liable for:
Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
Loss of profits or data
Acts, omissions, misconduct, or negligence of Providers, Sellers, or Buyers
Disputes arising from services or products purchased through the Platform
Your exclusive remedy is to stop using the Platform.
13. Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Security Lance LLC from all claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
Their use of the Platform
Violation of these Terms
Violation of another party’s rights
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
Any disputes must be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wayne County, Michigan.
15. Modifications to Terms
Security Lance may update these Terms at any time. Posting updated Terms on the Platform constitutes notice. Continued use of the Platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
